What To Expect When Ordering Specialty Window Coverings
Our professional window covering installation service is handled by Hunter Douglas certified installers. Our team members are fully trained experts with years of experience to guarantee a perfect installation. Our installers can answer any questions during the entire process.
After you order your window treatments, that is where the process begins.
- Accurate Measurements: The most essential step to any window covering installation is accurate measurements. If the measurements are just slightly off, the window treatment won’t fit your windows precisely. Not all windows are perfect in dimensions, so we measure them on the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal orientations to achieve the most accurate results. Relying on our professional installers to measure is your safest bet for a successful installation. We consider window molding and nearby light switches that can interfere with the installation. We will also inquire whether you prefer an inside or outside mount:
- Window treatments with an outside mount are mounted outside of the entire window frame. This mount type is perfect for camouflaging unsightly trim or molding and can also make your window appear larger.
- Inside mounts hang directly within the frame and are best for a snug, clean fit. They increase insulation because they create a layer of protection close to the glass.
